Bringing the history of Norwich to life

Norwich Living History Group is non-profit-making group which has been set up to:

Train, support and co-ordinate volunteers in all aspects of oral history: identifying interviewees, preparing for interviews, conducting interviews, summarising interviews and basic sound editing
To record oral history interviews which relate to Norwich and its environs to complement existing written sources
Publish booklets and larger volumes of material generated through oral history interviews
Contribute recordings of interviews to the archives of the Norfolk Record Office for long term storage and public access
Generate an interest in oral history and the history of Norwich through public events
Disseminate our findings for educational purposes
Work with other agencies and organisations in pursuit of the above aims
