Group Aims
Norwich Living History Group is non-profit-making group which has been set up to:
- Train, support and co-ordinate volunteers in all aspects of oral history: identifying interviewees, preparing for interviews, conducting interviews, summarising interviews and basic sound editing
- To record oral history interviews which relate to Norwich and its environs to complement existing written sources
- Publish booklets and larger volumes of material generated through oral history interviews
- Contribute recordings of interviews to the archives of the Norfolk Record Office for long term storage and public access
- Generate an interest in oral history and the history of Norwich through public events
- Disseminate our findings for educational purposes
- Work with other agencies and organisations in pursuit of the above aims
